Abstract:In order to study the distribution characteristics of lightning in water bodies and their surroundings, the relationship between ground flash density, ground flash intensity, water surface rate, and distance from water bodies was analyzed using Globe Land30 (2020) data with a resolution of 30 meters and lightning location system data from the Zhejiang electric power department from 2010 to 2019.The analysis results show that compared with the provincial average, the density and intensity of ground flash within 1 km of water bodies and surrounding areas have significantly decreased. The area 1 km to 4 km around the water body is a high-value zone for ground flash density.Within a range of more than 1 km around the water body, the intensity of ground flash will significantly increase. The higher the density of ground flashes, the more uneven the distribution of ground flashes. The higher the water surface rate, the more uniform the distribution and intensity of ground flashes. The variation characteristics of ground flash density in water bodies and their surroundings are independent of the type of water body.
