Abstract:In order to better utilize the fine spatial resolution and fast data updating capability of Doppler weather radar,the article studied recognition application of refined Doppler weather radar in severe convective weather processes.The results show that refined radar products can improve the continuity between product pixels and pixels,making the radar echoes closer to the actual situation.Refined radar can better capture the extreme values of radar products,observe the fine structure of high wind speed areas,and determine the possibility of thunderstorm and strong winds.TVS characteristic parameters are more obvious when identifying tornadoes.The upgraded refined Doppler weather radar has significantly improved its ability to monitor and identify medium and small-scale strong convection echoes,while also enhancing the accuracy of short-term forecasting.
