Abstract:In order to study extreme precipitation and extreme runoff events in the upper reaches of the Daqing River in the Shahe River Basin, daily precipitation data from five rainfall stations in the Shahe River Basin and daily runoff data from the Fuping Hydrological Station from 1960 to 2020 were used.Based on four extreme precipitation indicators and five extreme runoff indicators, the variation characteristics of extreme precipitation and extreme runoff in the Shahe River Basin were analyzed through anomaly, cumulative anomaly, and M-K test methods. The results indicate that the annual runoff in the Shahe River Basin has a significant downward trend, while the extreme precipitation index has no significant downward trend. The research results aim to provide practical experience for water resource management and flood control and drought resistance work in the Shahe River Basin.
