Abstract：The main observation parameters of the VOS（Volunteer Ship Observation System） are wind speed and direction, air temperature, relative humidity, air pressure. The VOS, which the State Oceanic Administration of China use, contains the wind speed and direction sensor, air temperature and relative humidity sensor, air pressure sensor, and so on. It is very trouble to installation, debugging and wiring, and the cost is relatively high. According to the problems of the VOS, this article will put forward the application of WXT520. WXT520, a lightweight small meteorological sensor, which adopts compact packaging, can provide six kinds of meteorological parameters. The parameters are wind speed and direction, rainfall, air pressure, air temperature and relative humidity. It is very easy to installation, debugging and wiring. And the cost is very low.
