Abstract:The lightning striking condition of the architectural complex is studied on the basis of a single building’s lightning striking probability factors, pointing out the shielding effect in the buildings and the influence that surrounding ones to a building’s lightning striking probability. This paper puts forward the buildings' air-termination system arrangement and tests its feasibility by lightning stroke simulation according to the attractive radius of air-termination system and the cross-section area of Collection Volume Method. The method of Gauss based on the recursive calculation is used to obtain the lightning striking probability, and the interaction effects between buildings are verified by the simulation experiment. In the shielding effect, the air-termination systems' quantity can be reduced on the basis of the lightning protection requirements.
