Abstract:By the end of 2014,the new automatic weather stations in Tibet are basically equipped with SL3-1 double bucket rainfall sensor and DSC1 weighing sensor. The actual operational work of SL3-1 double-tipping bucket rainfall sensor is used in spring and the operation mode of DSC1 weighing precipitation sensor is used in winter. It has a certain influence on the comparability and homogeneity of precipitation and evaporation data observed by the method of changing precipitation instruments according to seasons. This paper makes a comparative analysis on observation data and errors of two instruments in a certain period of time. Taking the role of modern observation and observation data into consideration,the business operation should be used DSC1 weighing precipitation sensor for precipitation observation during the whole year with SL3-1 as a backup in summer and artificial rainfall sensor in winter.
