Abstract：The wavelet analysis can effectively extract information from a signal,which has a multi-scale characteristic.The digital image is decomposed by Matlab wavelet toolbox.And the multi-scale reconstruction is performed by the low-frequency and the high-frequency component in the horizontal,vertical and the diagonal direction.Finally,a comparative analysis of the reconstructed images using different wavelet base functions is made and the conclusion is drawn.
