Abstract:In order to monitor better and warn of lightning weather in Nanchang area and reduce the occurrence of casualties caused by lightning strikes, climate statistics and weather analysis were conducted using historical lightning event data from Nanchang City from 2000 to 2022.The results indicate that:From 2000 to 2022,there were a total of 96 lightning strikes in the Nanchang area, and the annual, monthly, and daily changes of lightning strikes were all of a "Unimodal" type. The 500 hPa high altitude trough,low-level convergence,high-level divergence, and other weather systems are important weather systems that generate lightning events. The intersection of the middle dry tongue and the lower wet zone is the most prone to lightning events. The 10 minutes lightning frequency of a lightning strike event has a good correlation with the intensity of the 45 dBZ radar echo, with dense lightning occurring in≥45 dBZ echoes. The research results provide an analytical basis for the monitoring and warning of lightning strike events in the Nanchang area.
