Analysis of three radar echo characteristics of heavy rainstorm in Jiangxi Province |

Abstract In order to do a good job in the monitoring and early warning of heavy rainstorm weather in Jiangxi,based on MICAPS weather map,Jiangxi automatic station and radar puzzle data,the three kinds of radar echo patterns of three heavy rainstorm weather in 2022 in Jiangxi are analyzed,using the principles and methods of synoptic science and radar meteorology.The results show that there are three echo patterns of heavy rainstorm in Jiangxi:short band echo,cold front echo and low vortex echo cluster.When the direction of individual movement is approximately consistent with the direction of the echo band,the precipitation is strongest in the short band echo.The cold front echo band rotates clockwise during its eastward movement and eventually evolves into an east-west direction.The low vorte x echo cluster moves northeast along the southwest jet stream in front of the trough,and after merging with the shear line rain belt,the echo cluster further develops and grows.The research results provide an analytical basis for the short-term and imminent forecast of heavy rainstorm and short-time heavy rainfall in Jiangxi.
