Abstract Aiming at the lightning protection problem of photovoltaic system,this paper studies the harm modes of lightning to photovoltaic system from the aspects of lightning direct strike,lightning wave intrusion,lightning induction and ground potential counterattack,analyzes the harm of lightning to photovoltaic panels,controllers and inverters,and reasonably divides the lightning protection area of photovoltaic system.The lightning protection measures such as installation of lightning contact device,equipotential connection,installation of shielding and installation of surge protector are proposed to provide guidance for the lightning protection work of photovoltaic power station.
