Application analysis of wind profile radar and Doppler weather radar in rainstorm and strong wind weather process |

Abstract This article briefly describes the theoretical basis of the integration of wind profile radar and Doppler weather radar in real-time monitoring, data acquisition, and early warning systems.The application of wind profile radar and Doppler weather radar in rainstorm and strong wind weather process is discussed by selecting a severe convective weather process in Guangyuan.The results show that under the joint influence of the low plateau system and low level warm and humid air flow, the position of the 588 line of the subtropical high is stable and less dynamic, and the surface cold air invasions are conducive to the occurrence of rainstorm and strong wind weather.The central precipitation area is consistent with the sheet-like mixed cloud echo zone and wind speed convergence zone of Doppler weather radar.The change of vertical wind direction and the increase of horizontal wind speed in the vertical wind field of wind profile radar can effectively reveal the occurrence and development process of convective weather.
