Fault analysis of regional automatic weather stations under complex terrain in Yunnan Province |

Abstract In order to improve the data transmission timeliness and availability of regional automatic weather stations under complex terrain in Yunnan,this article discusses the fault phenomena and maintenance methods of regional automatic weather stations based on 2607 fault maintenance records that occurred in Yunnan from 2019 to 2022 to.The results show that there are numerous models of regional automatic weather stations in Yunnan,with a large number of observation elements and severe equipment aging.The proportion of equipment with a service life of more than 10 years is 64.3%.The frequency of failures has been increasing year by year,with the highest frequency of failures occurring in April and December of the year.The frequency of occurrence of fault phenomena,from high to low,is as follows:power supply system fault,communication system fault,collector fault,sensor fault,and other faults.The article summarizes the causes,manifestations,and specific maintenance methods of each type of malfunction,and formulate targeted maintenance and support strategies.
