Abstract The article uses 30 shortterm heavy rainfall weather processes in the Yantai area to invert various radar parameters during the occurrence of shortterm heavy rainfall using Yantai weather radar data,and analyzes the relationship between various parameters and the occurrence of shortterm heavy rainfall.Research has shown that during shortterm heavy rainfall,the individual intensity based on storms reaches over 50 dBZ,with relatively uniform intensity.The vertical integrated liquid water content is ≥10 kg/m2,and the vertical integrated liquid water content density reaches 1.3 g/m3.The strong center height of a storm cell is often over 2 km,and the top height of the cell can reach over 6 km.Compared with hail weather processes,there is no significant jump in vertically integrated liquid water content during shortterm heavy precipitation weather processes,therefore the reference value of vertically integrated liquid water content density is higher.
