| Comparative analysis of detection data between Xband solidstate dual polarization radar and S-band radar |

Abstract To test the detection performance of the X-band all-solid-state dual-polarization radar in Wujiang District and verify the reliability and accuracy of its detection data,two rounds of heavy precipitation processes during the plum rain season in Wujiang in 2024 were selected.Combined with the detection data from the S-band radar in Changzhou City and the actual data from regional automatic weather stations in Wujiang District,a comprehensive analysis of the detection data from the X-band all-solid-state dual-polarization radar in Wujiang District was conducted.The results show that compared with the S-band radar,the X-band all-solid-state dual-polarization radar has stronger spatial resolution,with a more uniform structural distribution of radar echoes and clearer radar echo images.It can detect fine echo structures,which is more conducive to effective monitoring and early warning of small and medium-scale weather systems.During heavy precipitation weather processes,the S-band radar provides more accurate estimates of one-hour cumulative precipitation,while the X-band all-solid-state dual-polarization radar excels in identifying the location of heavy precipitation.
