Abstract Based on the actual situation where automatic business switching cannot be achieved between the national primary operation station and backup station of meteorological observatories,and real-time monitoring of equipment operation status is not feasible,an automatic meteorological station real-time monitoring and switching system has been designed and developed.This system enables dual sets of new-type stations to serve as backups for each other and switch automatically,facilitating the analysis,comparison,and fusion processing of observation and collection data from the primary and backup stations.It also monitors the operation status of instruments and networks in real time and sends early warning information.The design and development of this system are of great significance for ensuring the stable transmission of meteorological observation data in Shanxi province and promoting the comprehensive automation process of station observation.
