Abstract This paper describes the history and current situation of upper air sounding balloon in China.The craft research and production status about heat sensitization balloon are mainly analyzed.The first production line of heat sensitization balloon is introduced in detail.Meanwhile,some problems on upper air sounding balloon that should be solved at present are pointed out.
