Abstract According to the comparison for the data collected from the old and the new upper air sounding system,this paper discusses the necessity, significance and continuity of replacing 701 upper air sounding system by new generation upper air sounding system.The data collected by L-band radar sounding system are analysed,which find out some problems in it.Then,the approprite solutions are proposed.
