Abstract In this article, the relationship between the wind profile radar measurement principle, atmospheric scattering mechanism and the wind profile radar echo intensity of was discussed. Above the compare with the data of the wind profile radar and the ball wind measurement, the difference of the two different wind measurement systems was analyzed. Meanwhile, a preliminary analysis about the characteristics of wind profile radar data in different weather conditions was discussed, the reference what how to exert further application of wind profiler radar in ordnance test center was given.
