Abstract In this paper, the recent freeze disaster during the 2008 in Qian Shan of An Hui measured rainfall particle spectral data are analyzed and calculated the each hour of rainfall intensity, raindrops spectrum and four times the average raindrops spectrum process, and the average raindrops spectrum M - P distribution and Gamma distribution fitting. The results show that: (1) four precipitation process is not uniform, precipitation intensity appear in the heavy rain strong second process, the fourth process of rainfall intensity in general than the top three secondary small; (2) the rainfall intensity is lesser, drop spectrum, and smaller particle concentration spectrum line more tilt, rainfall intensity bigger, spectral lines to large drops obviously the stretch. The increase of rainfall intensity is mainly due to appear larger particles, the average diameter increases and cause; (3) appear snowfall raindrops spectral spectrum lines will occur obviously change of the spectral lines in posterior segment appear in large turning, become closer to level;(4) using Gamma distribution to fitting it four times the average raindrops spectrum process better effects and to reflect the average raindrops spectrum central bending.
