Abstract By using original data of a wind profiler in Jiangxi Yichun, this paper analyzes and researches wind profiler radar in the following aspects of data transmission process, automatic uploading procedure, compression management, secondary product development, platform construction and common faults. The results show that six kinds of original data (four kinds of 5min data, one kind of 30min data and another kind of 60min data) can be uploaded timely with the help of the data uploading procedure, and data files are stored by compressing management. For satisfying the need of nowcasting business at all weather stations in Jiangxi, six kinds of original data are secondarily developed and the display platform is constructed.
