Abstract The construction and layout about automatic weather station(AWS)in Beijing are introduced. And three basic links of collecting, processing and distributing in data flow are described. Then, how the AWS data used in forecasting platform is also put forward. The quality and processing time of AWS data that the forecasters especially care are analyzed. In order to provide better support for forecast service, it gives out some advice about constructing public database, formulating the standard of using AWS data in operation.
