Analyze the reason of the GTS1 digital radiosonde signal sudden loss |

Abstract In the normal detection process of the GTS1 digital radiosonde, it will come no signal suddenly by self or external factors, the oscilloscope display four full bright lines and radar rotate in irregular way. We consider these phenomenon as ‘radiosonde signal suddenly lost’. The phenomenon would seriously affect many indicators of high altitude weather observation quality assessment, such as measuring the height of the wind and sound, replaying the ball and reporting wrong rate. Radiosonde signal suddenly loss often encountered, member who had many years experience of probing also difficult to avoid. We combine with four years observation records since our Observation site were built and analyze the reasons for signal suddenly lost in probing signal on GTS1 digital radiosonde, in order to reducing the occurrence of sudden loss of the phenomenon, and improving the quality of service.
