Abstract With the rapid development of National Meteorological Satellites, it puts forward an austere challenge to ground data receiving capability. However, there are some inevitable interferences in the data transmission systems, and ground data receiving system has operating for many years, equipment failures have often occurred, it all affects the quality of data receiving signal seriously. In this paper, on the base of study EIRP(equivalent Isotropic radiate power )testing principle, a new method is proposed for FY3 polar orbit meteorological satellites ground data receiving signal quality assessment and alarm, and the key technologies are analyzed. This paper helps to improve ground data reception capability and communication link design, and provide reliable data support for satellites on-orbit testing.
