Abstract Aiming at the current situation that Jiangsu province fails to apply visibility data in the real-time business, visibility system for real-time business is developed.The system achieves the functions of dealing with the current visibility data and assimilating the data to the hour files of national weather stations.It also has an intelligent alarm for the low visibility and is able to upload status of the hour files.The assimilation situation of visibility data, the whole provincial visibility data and its relevant elements are inquired and saved through provincial monitoring search platform This system reduces the workload of station staff in a great extent.Meanwhile, it plays an important role on observation in low visibility weather.
