Abstract To have a good grasp on the performance characteristics of Nanchong new generation weather radar(CINRAD/SC),the faults occurred in the operation process in the last eight years were made a statistic.According to the failure position,this paper takes the statistics for the failure rate of radar subsystem and analyzes the common fault phenomena occurred in transmission system.The storage situation of spare parts in Nanchong and the current maintenance working status are discussed.Then,the overall evaluation of Nanchong radar performance is presented.The suggestions about the weather radar security work are proposed.
