Abstract This paper discusses the application of instant messaging technology in weather information publication,which means adopting new information development technologies such as object-oriented,ulti-threaded,TCP/IP and communication protocol etc in the software design and implementation of weather information publication.Based on the open-source software XEIM,this instant messaging software has been developed,which meets thousands of Jiangxi citzens needs of instantly knowing weather information and report,and providing them with better service to adequately arrange daily life and routines.
