Abstract Ground meteorological automatic observation service can not use RS232 interface and four-core cable or optical fiber to transfer the automatic observation data in the circumstances of the separation of meteorological bureau and observation station.By transmitting of VPN access,the conversion of the RS232 interface to the RJ45 interface with devices can achieve unloading the automatic observation data to the remote computer.The Shitai Meteorological Bureau has carried out this technical experiments in 2014.The results show that this technology can correctly and stably unload the collected data to the remote duty room computer in time.
