Abstract In order to ensure the accuracy and reliability of wind direction and speed measuring data of regional automatic weather station,this paper studies and researches the field verification methods for wind direction and speed in regional automatic station.The working principle of wind direction and speed sensor of regional automatic weather station is firstly introduced and its on-site verification methods are described in detail.Some difficult and doubtful points in the methods are interpreted.Finally,through the comparison between the field verification data and the laboratory test data,it is proved that the field verification methods for wind direction and speed of regional automatic weather station is feasible.
