Abstract This paper introduces the structure and principle of DSG5 precipitation instrument,explores the causes of failure during parallel observation,as well as the solution ideas and solutions.How to check the power,voltage and serial port of precipitation instrument is described in detail,and how to do a good job on routine maintenance method of DSG5 precipitation instrument is put forward,which provide references for station staff to further insight into the precipitation instrument.
