Abstract The structure and working principle of DSG1 precipitation weather phenomenometer are analyzed in this paper.The rainfall data of three stations in central Hunan province during the parallel observation period from January 1 to December 31 in 2018 are compared and analyzed.It is found that the errors are large in the case of weak precipitation.The raindrop spectrum morphology of a precipitation process is analyzed and compared with the data of the rainfall sensor.
