Performance evaluation and technical upgrade analysis of new generation weather radar |

Abstract Based on the data obtained from the weather radar operational inspection of China Meteorological Administration in 2016,the field test performance and operation performance of 27 radars of 6 types such as CINRAD/SA are evaluated,including 14 key parameters such as radar transmitting power and the average qualification rate of 6 types of radar in field test.In view of the evaluation results,the problems existing in the equipment terminals are summarized,and then the key technical standards for the technology upgrade of weather radar equipment terminals are proposed,that is,improving the performance of key radar devices,unifying the monitoring and calibration system,and improving the application capability of new radar technology etc.The operation stability of networking radar will be further improved after technical upgrading.
