Research on field calibration method of weighing precipitation sensor |

Abstract In order to guarantee the technical equipment of the weighing precipitation sensor and make its observation data more accurate,taking DSC3 weighing precipitation sensor as an example,and according to its structure and working principle,the different water levels are injected into the collection container,and the field calibration of the weighing precipitation sensor is carried out by controlling the flow and simulating different rainfall intensity.The results show that the calibrated weighing precipitation sensor has nothing to do with the water level of the collecting container.The error is stable for different precipitation intensities.The error obtained after calibration can be regarded as the systematic error,which is more accurate and reliable than the tipping bucket rainfall sensor.
