Abstract Based on the ground observation data from 1986 to 2015 in Yongzhou,this paper analyzes the distribution characteristics of 10-min average wind direction and wind speed at 11 national stations in Yongzhou area.The annual,seasonal and monthly average distribution characteristics of maximum wind direction and wind speed are analyzed in detail,and the conclusions are drawn in order to provide basis for future forecast and improve the forecast quality of wind direction and wind speed.
