Abstract Through CFD simulation,the reason of the poor design effect of the existing seabed base anti burying is studied in this paper,and it is found that the velocity distribution of the flow passage is not uniform,which affects the effect of the sand flushing.And an improved design scheme is put forward.An inverted quadrangular boss is added at the bottom of the instrument cabin,which improves the velocity distribution in the flow passage and achieves a good sand flushing effect.The optimal design range of the tilt angle of the boss is given through comparative study.
