Abstract The difference in observation principle between atmospheric transmission meter and forward scatter is introduced in this paper.The data of two kinds of instruments at the reference observation point of Changbei airport are compared and analyzed by means of the interval distribution and average difference of the visibility difference.At the same time,the data under different weather background (rain,fog,light fog and haze) are analyzed.And the conclusions are given out.
