Abstract According to the failure records of Guangdong national automatic meteorological station in 2018,this paper makes statistical analysis on the failure data of power supply module,communication module,collector and other systems including software system,auxiliary equipment system and business terminal system.The fault causes of each module are summarized and the troubleshooting and solutions of each module are given out.According to the fault analysis,this paper puts forward the following maintenance suggestions:1.The duty personnel need to strengthen the inspection of each module,closely observing the operation of each module in order to ensure the normal operation of the new station in typhoon,rainstorm and other weather.2.The common fault of each module is mainly the aging and damage of the cable,resulting in short circuit,open circuit and other problems,so it is suggested that each station should be equipped enough to deal with such failure.3.The power supply system fails due to the failure of UPS when the power supply is cut off.The station duty personnel should conduct regular charge and discharge maintenance for UPS according to the regulations.4.Each station should be equipped with enough collectors and purchase a certain amount of optical fiber as accessories.
