Abstract In order to guarantee the normal operation of visibility meter,and by taking the DNQ 1 forward scatter visibility meter as an example,this paper introduces the principle of visibility measurement and summarizes the methods for routine maintenance of forward scatter visibility meter and the precautions in verification.The analysis results provide technological support for the normal operation of visibility meter.
