Research on beam occlusion correction method of Shaoyang weather radar |

Abstract Aiming at the problem of weather radar beam occlusion in Shaoyang City,this paper selects multiple precipitation range radar data from 2021 to 2022,uses the average vertical profile algorithm to correct the occlusion area,and compares and analyzes the correction effect with the ground rainfall data.The results show that the continuity of echo data of stratiform cloud and convective cloud is good after correction.The correlation of stratiform cloud echo is higher than that of convective cloud echo.The precipitation estimation ability of radar echo is improved,and the precipitation estimation of convective cloud echo is closer to the measured precipitation of automatic weather station than that of stratiform cloud echo.
