Abstract Due to the constant-flow pneumatic device used in conjunction with the bubble level gauge,where the gas flow rate at the gas outlet of the flow controller remains constant,leading to significant delays in water level measurement or excessive gas consumption,this paper introduces a new constant-flow pneumatic device.The structural composition of this constant-flow pneumatic device and the principle behind its automatic regulation of bubble generation rate are described in detail.Practical observations indicate that when the bubble level gauge is equipped with this constant-flow pneumatic device under equivalent gas consumption conditions,it is capable of tracking faster water level changes and the hysteresis of the water level measurement is lower.
