Abstract Based on the cloud detection technology of differential zero crossing method,the cloud altitude observation results of Vaisala CL51 and JHBL C12 laser cloud altitude instrument are analyzed statistically by using the data of the laser cloud altitude instrument test in Nanjing provided by National University of Defense Technology.The algorithm of cloud height boundary extraction is studied,and the difference of cloud height is analyzed by S-function image。The results show that the consistency correlation coefficient of cloud height in the same layer is as high as 0.955.The determination condition of cloud height boundary is one of the main factors affecting the absolute error of cloud base height.
