Abstract The automatic meteorological observation system in Chongqing Jiangbei Airport uses modulation and demodulation signals and optical fiber links to transmit sensor data to the computer room.According to the fault statistics over the years,the transmission line fault is one of the main reasons for the failure of the second runway automatic meteorological observation system.In order to solve the hidden trouble of single optical fiber transmission mode and reduce the impact on the use of user data in the process of project upgrading,this paper adjusts the sensor output based on the expansion of system AVIMET configuration.Through the installation of sensors and wireless devices at the tower end,the wired transmission and wireless transmission double backup of the automatic meteorological observation system of the second runway of Chongqing Jiangbei Airport are realized.
