Abstract Based on the observation data of 93 sets of new automatic weather stations in Jiangxi Province from April 2021 to March 2022 in the integrated meteorological observation business operation information platform,the author of this paper proposes a method for evaluating the operation efficiency of new automatic weather stations.The quantitative indexes such as data to report rate and equipment stable operation rate were statistically analyzed,and the fault types and causes of faults were classified and statistically studied.The results indicate that the operational efficiency of the national automatic weather stations in the province is maintained at a high level,and the incomplete observation elements have the greatest impact on the operational efficiency.The analysis of the types and causes of equipment failure provides a certain support for improving the efficiency of equipment failure repair and improving the operation efficiency of automatic weather stations.
