Research on optimization of meteorological observation station network in Yinchuan region of Ningxia based on information entropy

Abstract:In order to optimize the network layout of meteorological observation stations,the daily precipitation,availability and service life data of 202 meteorological observation stations from May to September 2016 to 2019 in Yinchuan area was comprehensively evaluated by using the entropy weight method and TOPSIS method based on the information entropy theory.The results show that the importance ranking of rainfall has the largest weight,followed by the service life.The overall spatial distribution characteristics of average precipitation of the optimized station network are consistent with those before optimization,and the number of preferred stations is reduced by about 20% compared to the original stations.The comprehensive evaluation results of the station network can provide a theoretical basis for the upgrading and reconstruction of the stations in Yinchuan area.
