Abstract:In response to the research requirements of the operation technology of ground silver iodide generator to artificially affect weather, a typical winter precipitation process in Liupan Mountain was analyzed by using ground observation data such as microwave radiometer and laser altimeter.Based on the observation data, the diffusion range of catalyst generated by ground silver iodide generator located at the top of Liupan Mountain was simulated by using Gaussian point source diffusion model. The artificial impact operation device during this precipitation process is directly located in the precipitation cloud cluster, with a temperature of -13 ℃ to -6 ℃.The temperature at a distance of 1 km above can reach -26 ℃.The effective density of the catalyst is 103 pieces per square meter, with a horizontal diffusion range is up to 40 km and a vertical diffusion range is up to 8 km.The silver iodide catalyst can enter the precipitation cloud cluster at a height of -25 ℃ to -15 ℃ and reach an effective density above, providing technical support for the weather modification operation of the silver iodide generator on the ground in winter in Liupan Mountain.
