Abstract:Using temperature and precipitation observation data from 12 meteorological stations in the southern mountainous areas of Ningxia from 1960 to 2022,Mann Kendall climate change test method,Z-index method, precipitation anomaly percentage method and other research methods were used to analyze the spatiotemporal variation characteristics of temperature and precipitation in this region,as well as the response of drought and flood disasters to climate change. The results showed that the annual average temperature in the southern mountainous areas of Ningxia from 1960 to 2022 was 6.93 ℃,increasing at a rate of 0.029 ℃ per year. The temperature rose the fastest in winter and slower in summer, and the annual average temperature showed a gradually increasing trend from south to north. The temperature was higher in the northern region and lower in the southern region. The precipitation in the southern mountainous areas of Ningxia showed a fluctuating downward trend from 1960 to 2022,with a decrease rate of 0.85 mm/year and an average annual precipitation of 419.6 mm.The spatial variation of precipitation showed a decreasing trend from southeast to northwest, with a slower decrease in spring and a slow upward trend in summer,a greater decrease in autumn, and a significant increase in winter precipitation. The trends of temperature and precipitation were opposite. The frequency of droughts and floods is somewhat synchronized with climate change.
