Abstract:According to the annual sunshine hours data of 16 ground meteorological observation stations in Shijiazhuang area from 1955 to 2010, this paper analyzes variation characteristics of sunshine hours in 5 representative stations by using the correlation coefficient method, linear trend estimation method, Mexican-hat wavelet analysis and Mann-Kendall test etc. The results show that sunshine hours in mountainous and hilly regions are below than that in the Eastern Plain. The whole regions sunshine hours show an obvious decreasing tendency. The descending rate of sunshine duration in mountainous and hilly areas is faster than that of the Eastern Plains. The sunshine hours in southwest mountain areas and urban have turned up mutations and they all happened in the last century of mid 80s. The decline of sunshine duration can be caused by continuous rain and fog weather, the umbrella effect of aerosol particles in the air and the increasing of the obstacle height angle around the station.
