Variation characteristics of sunshine duration in Shijiazhuang City and analysis of its influencing factors

Abstract:By means of the linear trend estimation method, correlation coefficient method and complete Mann-Kendall mutation test, this paper analyzes climate variation characteristics and impact factors of sunshine hours in Shijiazhuang during the past 56 years. The results show that the annual sunshine hours decreased significantly in Shijiazhuang. In the four seasons, the sunshine hours were maximally reduced in winter, followed by summer and autumn, while it is minimally reduced in spring. The maximum reduction of sunshine duration happened in January with minimum reduction in April. The seasonal and annual sunshine hours presented obvious mutation phenomenon. The annual sunshine hours were negative correlated with haze, fog, cloud amount and relative humidity, while it was positive related with visibility. The main meteorological elements that affected sunshine duration in Shijiazhuang were visibility and haze.
