Abstract:Based on the data of national and regional automatic weather stations in Ya'an,the data of global data assimilation system, the data of the National Environmental Prediction Center and the Center for Atmospheric Research of the United States, the HYSPLIT model based on the Lagrangian method is introduced to analyze the characteristics of the water vapor transport trajectory of an extreme heavy rainstorm process in Sichuan Basin from August 10 to 12,2020.The results show that the 200 hPa South Asia High,500 hPa two trough one ridge circulation situation, and 700 hPa and 850 hPa significant air flow and convergence line are the weather background of the heavy rainstorm.During the heavy rainstorm process, the water vapor transport paths at 1 000 m,1 500 m and 3 000 m heights in Ya'an area and the water vapor contribution rates of different trajectories are different.Central and eastern Xizang is one of the sources of water vapor for this extreme rainstorm weather. In the process of water vapor moving towards the rainstorm area, the moving track mainly floats up and down at the height of 2 000 m,and there are also transport channels with the height of 4 0005 000 m and gradually declining, mainly south and west paths. The convergence effect of lowlevel southerly winds and topography in the western Sichuan Basin is an important factor in the accumulation and uplift of water vapor.
