Comparative analysis of domestic weather radar signal processors and RVP900 algorithm processing

Abstract:In order to evaluate the processing differences between domestic and foreign signal processor algorithms,the article adopts a method that compares multiple signal processor algorithms based on the same IQ data,using the widely recognized Vaisala RVP900 signal processor as a reference.In a radial flow manner,the original IQ data and signal processing parameters are simultaneously sent to the RVP900 and weather radar signal processing software from three domestic manufacturers for processing,and the returned base data is obtained.Then,quantitative and qualitative analysis is conducted on the base data returned by different signal processors to compare the consistency and differences between domestic signal processing algorithms and the RVP900.The results of this analysis case show that the reflectivity before filtering,spectral width,correlation coefficient,and differential propagation phase from the three manufacturers are relatively consistent with the RVP900,while there are significant differences in velocity,differential reflectivity,and differential propagation phase shift rate.
