Abstract:According to GMap.net lightning monitoring and warning system,based on the atmospheric electric field strength measurement,and by means of ground electric field instrument networking,it comes true that automatic,continuous and real-time monitor a strong electric field intensity change generated by ground lightning activity.The atmospheric electric field data were stored and the historical data were played back.Using the temporal difference methods set up three warning thresholds,which improve the accuracy of early warning.As an example of thunderstorms analysis of Liuhe district in Nanjing on May 11,2011,within the range of the station,when the electric field of the fast changing jitter occurs within a certain time and several times of the value reaches a certain threshold,the value of the electric field increase to achieve the intensity of the lightning protection zone as time goes by.The rapid electric jitter occurs in a little but the situation did not produce lightning.In a word,warning effect is relatively satisfactory.
